[Zurich, November 3, 2026] EVIIVE AG, a University of Zurich spin-off developing a blood-based immune profiling test to guide cancer immunotherapy, announces that Dr. Ralph Schiess has joined its Board of Directors as an independent member.
Ralph co-founded Proteomedix, the Zurich diagnostics company behind Proclarix, a blood-based test to assess the risk of clinically significant prostate cancer, and led it through to its acquisition by Blue Water Biotech in 2023. He is now co-founder and CEO of ZH3D – Zurich Hub for Drug and Device Development at the University of Zurich, supporting the transition of biomedical research into clinical applications.
“Immunotherapy has changed cancer care, but oncologists still have limited tools to tell in advance which patients will benefit. EVIIVE is addressing that question with a simple blood test, which is exactly where diagnostics can make a difference. From Proteomedix I know that good science is only the start: the real work is clinical evidence, quality systems and getting a test adopted in routine care. I look forward to helping the team on that path.” said Ralph Schiess.
“EVIIVE grew out of years of research on how the immune system shows up in the blood. Taking that science into a diagnostic that patients and physicians can rely on requires a different kind of experience, and Ralph has done exactly that with Proteomedix. His independent perspective will strengthen the Board as the company moves from research into the clinic.” said Prof. Richard Chahwan, Chair of the Board.
“Ralph has been an incredible mentor since we first met at the SPARK Zurich mentoring program (organized by Translational Medicine Acceleration UZH), and his input has already shaped how we think about our clinical and commercial path. He knows from his own company what it takes to bring a blood test from the lab into clinical use, from building the evidence to working with partners and payers. Having him formally on the Board gives us that experience at a decisive stage for EVIIVE.” said Dr. Kevin Yim, CEO.
